These AYUSH hospitals and colleges will be established in Gonda, Mirzapur, Meerut, Agra and Basti divisions, where students will be provided education in modern health sciences along with traditional medical systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.

The decision of the Yogi government will not only increase the scope of AYUSH education in the state, but will also help in providing better health services at the local level. Through new colleges, youth will get more opportunities for medical education and trained human resources will be prepared in the field of AYUSH medicine.

Principal Secretary, Ayush Ranjan Kumar said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is continuously working towards strengthening India’s traditional medical heritage along with modern medical facilities so that safe, affordable and effective health services can be available to the people of the state. In such a situation, on the instructions of CM Yogi, land has been identified in five divisions for five new integrated AYUSH hospitals and colleges.

Here, research on Ayurvedic medicines, yoga therapy, lifestyle based treatment and traditional medical systems will be promoted. This will help in strengthening the Indian medical tradition on a scientific basis.

With this, students from remote areas will not have to depend on big cities. Modern laboratories, hospitals, research facilities and training centers will be developed in colleges, which will give new quality and identity to AYUSH education.
