Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, the effect of fluctuating crude oil prices in the international market is now clearly visible in India too. Giving another blow to the common man, first the price of petrol and diesel was increased by about Rs 3 per liter and now the price of CNG has also been increased by Rs 2 per kg.
After the latest increase, the price of CNG in the capital Delhi has reached Rs 79.09 per kg. This increase is likely to have a direct impact on auto, taxi and cab services, due to which travel expenses may increase further in the coming days.
This change in CNG prices has come at a time when consumers are already worried about the increased prices of petrol and diesel. Due to cost of fuel, the pressure on expenses related to daily needs is also increasing.
Earlier on Thursday, CNG prices were increased in Mumbai also, which has put additional burden on the consumers there. Now gradually this effect can be seen in other cities also.
Experts believe that such increase in fuel prices has a direct impact on inflation, as increasing transportation costs also affect the prices of food items and other essential commodities.
At present, this situation remains challenging for the common people and people are demanding the government to take concrete steps to control the prices.
