Today, Saturday, June 20, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is ₹ 942 in different cities of the country. Earlier this month, the price per cylinder was increased by ₹29. Similarly, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder used in hotels, restaurants and dhabas was also increased from ₹42 to ₹53.50 this month. Earlier in May also, there was a big increase in the price by ₹ 993. As a result, its price in Delhi has now become ₹3,113.50 per cylinder.

**Supply continues despite pressure**

Meanwhile, according to an update released by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on Thursday, about 1.47 crore domestic LPG cylinders were delivered in the last three days, while about 1.36 crore new bookings were made during the same period. Despite supply chain disruptions due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, regular supplies of cooking gas continue to be supplied to homes across the country.

The general public is advised not to indulge in panic buying of petrol, diesel and LPG, beware of rumors and rely on government sources for correct information. LPG customers are urged to use digital booking platforms and avoid visiting the distributor in person. “All refineries are operating at full capacity with abundant crude oil stocks, and adequate stocks of petrol and diesel are being maintained. Domestic LPG production has also been increased at refineries to meet domestic demand,” a government statement said.
