The Reserve Bank has released the list of bank holidays in the month of March. In such a situation, you should know when the banks will remain closed. So that on those days you can do your transactions through net banking, mobile banking, ATM transactions and UPI.
There are 14 bank holidays in the month of March. Some of these holidays will be in the entire country, while some will be in other states and cities. Banks will remain closed in Aizawl on March 1 on Chapchar Kut festival. At the same time, March 3 will be a Sunday holiday. Due to Maha Shivratri on March 8, there will be bank holidays in most of the states of the country. After this, banks will remain closed on the second Saturday on March 9 and on the second Sunday on March 10. That means there will be bank holidays for 3 consecutive days in most parts of the country. Then there will be a bank holiday on 17th March due to Sunday. There will be banks there on 22nd March due to Bihar Day.
Apart from this, banks will also remain closed on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24. On the occasion of Holi on March 25, banks will be closed in the rest of the country except Srinagar, Trivandrum, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Imphal, Kochi, Kohima and Patna. There will be a bank holiday in Bhopal, Imphal and Patna on 26th March. Then banks will remain closed in Patna on 27th March. There will be a festival of Good Friday on 29th March. On this day, banks will remain closed in the rest of the country except Guwahati, Agartala, Jammu, Srinagar, Shimla and Jaipur.
