The stock market has been on a continuous rise for the last three sessions. Yesterday Nifty closed at 25,875, up 180 points. There is a bullish trend in the American market amid hopes of the lockdown ending. The Dow Jones Industrial Average reached a new intraday high yesterday. Selling by foreign investors continues, but the pressure has reduced. Foreign investors sold ₹1,750 crore in the cash market yesterday, while making net purchases of ₹1,610 crore in cash, shares and index futures. Domestic funds (DIIs) made big purchases worth ₹5,127 crore for the 53rd consecutive day.
Talking about other factors, gold is at its highest level in three weeks and silver is at its highest level in four weeks. In the last five days, gold has increased by ₹ 6,500 and silver by ₹ 15,000. Crude oil is at a three-week low below $63. Bihar election results will be declared tomorrow and if they match the exit polls, it will be a big positive thing.
