Tension continues between former BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover and the company. In the latest case, Ashneer Grover has written a letter to the board of directors of the company. In this letter, he has demanded action against Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Suhail Sameer and resignation of Chairman Rajnish Kumar. Grover has asked the board of directors to take action against Sameer for his objectionable remarks on social media against him.
What’s the matter: Karan Sarki, a former BharatPe employee, had made a post on social media regarding the issue of dismissal of old employees and non-payment of salary. Responding to a comment made by Ashneer’s sister Ashima on this post, Sameer said, “Sister, your brother stole all the money. There is very little money left to pay salaries.
To this Grover said in a letter dated April 8, “Sameer’s language in response to the social media post is not only derogatory but also ‘publicly lying’.”
Company to issue notice: Grover said that the bankruptcy of the company has not been confirmed by anyone but the CEO and board member himself. “According to the precedent of the Board of Directors and the lofty standards announced by them, the CEO should be given immediate show-cause notice for this public practice and immediately sent on leave for damage to the company’s brand,” he said. Grover said, “Suhail will have to prove before the board that he was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs while talking like this on LinkedIn.”
Earlier on Thursday, Grover had tweeted that under the leadership of Rajnish Kumar and Suhail Sameer, the company’s growth suffered a decline in the first quarter.

However, a Bharatway spokesperson said the January-March quarter turned out to be the best quarter ever for the company. “We have achieved four times the revenue in the corresponding period this year as compared to the January-March quarter of last year. Despite the third wave of the COVID-19 epidemic, the company’s growth has increased by 30 percent compared to the previous quarter.
Grover has said in the letter that all transactions of Sameer should be audited by an independent auditor. He should be reinstated as CEO only after the audit report comes before the board.
