Bihar Road Construction Minister Kumar Shailendra has welcomed the urban de-congestion policy of the Central Government, calling it an important initiative towards improving the urban traffic system. He said that this policy will play an important role in reducing the increasing traffic pressure in cities, making transportation easier and giving impetus to economic activities.

The Minister said that due to increasing population and number of vehicles in the rapidly developing cities of the country, traffic jams have become a major challenge. In such a situation, this policy of the Central Government will prove helpful in strengthening the modern urban transport system and making the road network more effective.

He said that under the urban de-congestion policy, traffic management, development of alternative routes, flyovers, bypasses and other infrastructure projects will be promoted in cities. This will not only reduce travel time but will also help in fuel saving and pollution control.

Kumar Shailendra said that traffic pressure is continuously increasing even in major cities of Bihar. In such a situation, effective implementation of this policy will greatly benefit the urban areas of the state. Better road connectivity and easy transport system will also encourage trade, industry and investment.

According to the minister, by reducing the problem of traffic jams, goods transportation will speed up and economic activities will get a new impetus. This will benefit the common citizens as well as the business and industrial sectors.

Describing this initiative of the Central Government as an important step towards the goal of developed India, he said that with the coordination of the states and the Centre, the urban transport system can be made more modern and efficient.

The Road Construction Department believes that in the coming time, approval of new projects under this policy will also strengthen the development of road and transport infrastructure in Bihar. This will reduce the problem of jam in cities and people will get safe, fast and convenient travel experience.
