Amidst the ups and downs in the stock market, there is a big good news for investors. TVS Holdings, the parent company of TVS Group, has decided to deliver strong returns to its shareholders. The company has given a big gift to investors by announcing interim dividend for the financial year 2025-26.
The company’s board has approved a huge dividend of 1,720 percent. This simply means that investors who hold shares of the company will get ₹86 on each of their shares. Given that the face value of the share is ₹5, this dividend is considered quite attractive for small investors. The company will have to pay a total of around ₹174 crore due to this decision; However, it seems that this will further strengthen investor confidence.
What is the record date?
An important date has also been fixed for eligibility to receive dividend. The company has declared April 2, 2026 as the record date. This means that only those investors will be entitled to this dividend, whose ownership of the company’s shares as on this due date is reflected in their Demat accounts. If an investor buys shares after this date, he will not be eligible to avail this benefit. The company has also said that the dividend amount will be deposited in the accounts of investors within approximately 30 days of the record date.
Not just dividends, the company is also actively working on strengthening its financial position. Keeping this goal in mind, the company recently raised ₹650 crore from the market. To achieve this, the company issued non-convertible debentures (NCDs). These debentures were issued targeting large investors and allotted through the NSE platform. This strategic move will help the company build a strong capital base to support its future expansion plans.
