In Mumbai, the rate reached ₹154,050 per 10 grams. Just a day earlier, gold prices had fallen by ₹200 in Delhi’s bullion market, taking it to ₹155,900 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, in the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,708.17 an ounce.

Hopes have been rekindled regarding the possibility of reaching an agreement on a ceasefire between America and Iran. Late Friday night, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reached Islamabad for talks with Pakistan’s top leadership. There are also reports that US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are visiting Pakistan on Saturday. A spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry said that no meeting is currently scheduled between Iran and the United States; Instead, Iran’s case will be delivered to Pakistani authorities. The first round of talks between the US and Iran, which took place on 11 and 12 April, ended without any results.
