Gold prices fell on Monday, the first day of the week. On the morning of February 16, the price of 24 carat gold in the capital Delhi fell to ₹ 157,890 per 10 grams. Talking about the global market, spot gold is above $5,000 per ounce. JPMorgan estimates that the price of gold will reach $6,300 an ounce by the end of 2026. Ajay Chawla, Managing Director (MD) of Titan Company, says that customers are now buying gold, taking every fall in the price as an opportunity, just like stock investors. He acknowledged that gold prices continue to fluctuate, but demand remains strong.

Silver also declined on the morning of 16 February. The price is ₹274,900 per kg. The spot price of silver in the international market is $77.30 per ounce. On Friday, silver prices fell by ₹13,500, or 5.03 per cent, to ₹255,000 per kg in the Delhi bullion market. In January, silver prices had crossed the ₹4 lakh mark.
