Gold and silver prices are continuously rising, breaking new records every day except a few days. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), by Thursday morning, the price of 24 carat gold stood at Rs 1,22,098 per 10 grams, while silver prices stood at Rs 1,52,700 per kg. According to the All India Bullion Association, gold prices rose for the third consecutive day in the Delhi bullion market on Wednesday, rising by Rs 2,600 to a new all-time high of Rs 1,26,600 per 10 grams. Silver prices rose by Rs 3,000 to hit a record high of Rs 1,57,000 per kg (including all taxes). Spot gold in foreign markets rose by nearly 2 percent to reach a record high of $ 4,049.59 an ounce. For the first time in the global market, gold crossed the important level of $ 4,000 an ounce. According to the All India Bullion Association, gold prices rose for the third consecutive day on Wednesday in the national capital bullion market and rose by Rs 2,600 to a new all-time high of Rs 1,26,600 per 10 grams. This is in line with strong global trends amid geopolitical uncertainties arising from the closure of some departments due to financial problems in the US. Gold prices have risen by Rs 6,000 in the last three days as global risk aversion led investors to turn to safe haven investments. 24 carat gold on Tuesday rose by Rs 700 to close at Rs 1,24,000 per 10 grams, whereas a huge increase of Rs 2,700 was recorded a day earlier on Monday. On Wednesday, the price of 99.5 per cent pure gold rose by Rs 2,600 to touch an all-time high of Rs 1,26,000 per 10 grams (including all taxes) in the local bullion market. In the last market session, it had closed at Rs 1,23,400 per 10 grams.

Besides, silver prices rose by Rs 3,000 to hit a record high of Rs 1,57,000 per kg (including all taxes) on Wednesday. On Tuesday it closed at Rs 1,54,000 per kg. On Monday, silver had touched a record high of Rs 1,57,400 per kg.
What were the prices of gold and silver in the foreign market yesterday? A huge jump was seen in bullion prices in the foreign market. Spot gold rose nearly two percent to a record high of $4,049.59 an ounce. Spot silver in the global market also increased by more than two percent to reach the highest level of $ 48.99 an ounce.

Gold prices hit a record high of ₹1,22,220 per 10 grams in futures trade on Wednesday due to fresh deals by speculators amid strong spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold prices for December delivery contracts rose by ₹1,109, or 0.91 per cent, to an all-time high of ₹1,22,220 per 10 gram. Gold prices for February 2026 delivery contracts rose by ₹1,085, or 0.88 per cent, to an all-time high of ₹1,23,469 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, a rise was also seen in silver. Silver futures contracts for December delivery rose by ₹2,387, or 1.63 per cent, to hit a record high of ₹1,48,179 per kg. Similarly, silver futures contracts for March 2026 delivery rose by ₹2,485, or 1.68 per cent, to hit an all-time high of ₹1,50,000 per kg.
