According to the company, the service of this cylinder will be started in 100 new cities of 24 states by August 15. The company says this will primarily benefit people with low LPG consumption, as they will get the option to choose a smaller and more convenient cylinder instead of the standard 14.2 kg cylinder. Apart from this, BPCL has also shared important information related to crude oil purchase and inventory.
What changes will happen till August 15?
BPCL will increase the reach of its 10 kg LPG cylinders.
It will be made available in 100 new cities across 24 states by August 15.
Small families and customers with low gas consumption will benefit from this.
Customers will have the option to choose the cylinder according to their specific needs.
Major changes in crude oil purchase
The company looked at new sources of crude oil during the June quarter.
The share of crude oil purchased from Russia was 38% of the total purchases.
Purchasing from the spot market increased to 69%.
Apart from Russia, BPCL has also increased crude oil imports from Venezuela and Angola.
The company currently has a stock of 3.8 million tonnes of crude oil.
This stock is considered sufficient to meet the needs for about 35 days.
How was the company’s performance?
BPCL’s revenue in the June quarter was about ₹1.51 lakh crore.
During this period the company suffered a net loss of ₹ 3,962 crore.
However, this loss was much less than market expectations. The brokerage house has maintained a positive stance on the company’s stock.
The company says that fluctuations in global crude oil prices may impact future earnings.
