The Rajasthan government has taken a big step towards transforming the youth from job seekers to job creators. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, launched by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, has emerged as a special opportunity for the educated youth of the state who dream of starting something new.
This scheme was started by the Rajasthan government on 12 January and its detailed guidelines were released on 15 January. The online application process has now started. As soon as the portal opened, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the youth.
The special thing is that the Rajasthan government will bear the entire interest expense on the loan given under this scheme. The objective of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Self-Employment Scheme is clear: to reduce unemployment and empower the youth through self-employment.
The government aims to directly benefit about one lakh youth through this scheme. The focus is not just on giving money, but on setting the youth on the path to sustainable income. Only permanent residents of Rajasthan between 18 to 45 years of age are eligible for this scheme.
Applicants must have SSO ID. Interested youth can apply online through SSO portal or your nearest e-Mitra center. While applying online, applicants will have to upload their personal information, educational qualifications, details of their proposed business and required documents.
Under this scheme, 8th to 12th pass youth will be given loans up to Rs 3.5 lakh for service and trade sectors. For the manufacturing sector this amount is up to Rs 7.5 lakh. There is also a provision for margin money in this scheme.
Youth with low qualification can get up to Rs 35,000 as margin money. Graduates, ITI diploma holders, or youth with higher qualifications will get loans up to Rs 5 lakh for service and trade sectors.
Highly qualified youth who want to start a business in the manufacturing sector can get an interest-free loan up to Rs 10 lakh. They will also be given margin money up to Rs 50,000. Overall, this scheme can be a great support for those youth who want to start their own business.
