Important news for LPG consumers! New prices of LPG cylinder released, check the price in your city immediately

Today, on Saturday, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders (14.2 kg) remained completely unchanged across the country. There was also no increase in the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders. The previous major hike in this category – ₹993 – was implemented on May 1. Meanwhile, domestic cylinder prices had increased by ₹60 in March; Prices have remained unchanged since then.

Meanwhile, due to the continuous increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and CNG, fears of a possible increase in the prices of LPG gas are also increasing. This is because oil marketing companies (OMCs) are facing huge losses due to the ongoing geopolitical tension in the Middle East and the continuous increase in crude oil prices in the global markets. This month alone, petrol and diesel prices have been increased four times, resulting in an increase of about ₹7.5 per litre. Since May 15, CNG prices have increased by a total of ₹6 per kg; Currently, the price of CNG in Delhi is ₹83.09 per kg.

Why were the prices of commercial cylinders increased?

The difference between the prices of domestic and commercial cylinders reflects a deliberate policy strategy. Even though global crude oil markets have been volatile since the US-Iran tensions escalated in February 2026, the government has kept domestic cooking gas prices stable. Till now, oil marketing companies (OMCs) – such as IOCL, BPCL and HPCL – have been bearing the price difference on domestic cylinders, while passing on the entire burden of rising global crude costs to commercial users. This approach is taken on the basis that commercial users can either absorb these increased costs themselves or pass them on to their customers.
