Petrol Diesel Price Today: After increasing petrol by Rs 50 and diesel by Rs 75 in Sri Lanka, today Indian Oil has released new rates of petrol and diesel in India as well. Indian Oil’s Sri Lanka-based subsidiary Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) said that the retail price of diesel has been increased by Rs 75 per liter and that of petrol by Rs 50 per liter. Now the price of petrol here is Rs 254 per liter and that of diesel is Rs 214 per liter.
Meanwhile, after the victory of BJP in four states, today i.e. on Saturday, the price of one liter of petrol in the country’s capital Delhi remains Rs 95.41 (Delhi Petrol Price), while the price of diesel is Rs 86.67 (Delhi Diesel Price). Whereas in Mumbai, petrol is being sold at the rate of Rs 109.98 per liter, while diesel is being sold at Rs 94.14.
According to the new rate, even today the cheapest petrol in the country is being sold in Port Blair at Rs 82.96 per liter, while diesel is also being sold here at Rs 77.13 per liter. Petrol is beyond 100 in Bhapal, Jaipur, Patna, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore.

Contrary to the apprehensions, there was relief even on the 5th day of the end of the elections. There was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel at the domestic level even after 127 consecutive days. However, in the meantime, crude oil has also come down to $ 112.67 against $ 140 per barrel.
Petrol and diesel prices may increase this week
In view of the assembly elections in five states of the country, the prices of petrol and diesel may increase this week after stagnation in the prices of petrol and diesel for four consecutive months. Oil companies are now ready to make up for their losses after the global crude oil prices touched a 13-year record high of $140 per share despite no increase in fuel prices. Industry sources say petrol and diesel prices need to be hiked by Rs 15 per liter to reduce losses for fuel retailers.
