PAN-Aadhaar link: The government has made it clear that it is now necessary to link PAN card with Aadhaar card.
In the notification issued by CBDT, it has been said that if PAN is not linked to Aadhaar within the stipulated time, then your PAN will automatically be considered inactive. For this, the government has given a deadline of 31 December 2025.

How easy is the process of linking PAN?
The Income Tax Department has made the process of linking PAN with Aadhaar quite easy. Now any person can complete this work sitting at home with the help of OTP received on his mobile. The option of linking to the e-filing website of the department is available on the homepage itself.
This entire process is very quick and easy, taking just a minute or two to complete. Crores of people have already completed their linking, but there are still lakhs left. In such a situation, as the last date approaches, more traffic on the website may increase.
How to link PAN to Aadhaar?
First of all go to the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department, incometax.gov.in. Click on the Link Aadhaar option given on the homepage.
Now validate by entering your PAN number and Aadhaar number. If your PAN is not already linked, the system will ask for your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP received on the mobile and submit. Within a few seconds, a message that the linking is successful will appear on the screen. By completing this process in time, you can keep all your financial activities safe.
