LPG customers have got some relief amid inflation. Today, the prices of both commercial gas cylinders and ‘Chhotu’ (small) gas cylinders have been reduced. Oil companies have reduced the price of 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder by ₹ 13, which is effective from today. After the implementation of the new prices, a 5 kg cylinder will now be available for ₹808.50 in Delhi. This decision will provide a lot of relief to small families, tenants and small shopkeepers.
What is FTL cylinder?
The price of FTL (Free Trade LPG) cylinder is decided according to the market rate; There is no subsidy on this from the government. These small 5 kg cylinders are generally used by small families, students, paying guests (people living in PG), small shops and roadside vendors.
New prices of ‘small gas cylinders’ city wise:
Delhi – ₹808.50
Mumbai – ₹780
Kolkata – ₹840
Chennai – ₹825
Patna – ₹890
Lucknow – ₹850
Jaipur – ₹835
Bhopal – ₹820
Hyderabad – ₹860
Bengaluru – ₹845
Why have ‘small gas’ prices reduced?
Recently, there has been a slight decrease in the prices of LPG and crude oil in the international market. For this reason, oil companies have decided to reduce the prices of these small cylinders. While there is no change in the price of 14.2 kg cylinder for domestic use, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has also reduced by ₹183.50.
