Even before the festive season begins, the common man has a mild burden of inflation. Gas agencies have increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders from 1 October 2025 to 19 kg. This change has happened at a time when the country is getting ready for big festivals like Dussehra and Diwali, in which consumption in hotels, restaurants and other businesses related to food increases. It is a matter of relief that there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg cylinders in domestic use, their prices are stable as before.
Economic weight increased on commercial cylinders
This price increase will mainly affect businesses that use large 19 kg commercial cylinders. This increase in metros has been increased on average from ₹ 15.50 to ₹ 16.50.

According to the data, the biggest increase has been recorded in Kolkata and Chennai. The price of 19 kg cylinder in Kolkata has now increased from ₹ 1684 to ₹ 1700.5, while in Chennai the price has increased from ₹ 1738 to ₹ 1754.5. The national capital Delhi and the country’s financial capital Mumbai have increased by ₹ 15.50.
Why did this change?
Oil Marketing Companies amend the prices of LPG cylinders after reviewing crude oil and gas prices in the international market on the first date of every month. Experts believe that this increase is the result of the increase in gas prices in the global market.
14 kg domestic cylinder price stable
However, the common families have got some relief as there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic cylinder. Their prices remain the same as last month:
