The month of November has started and the stock market will remain closed for a total of 11 days in November 2025. It includes regular holidays as well as a public holiday every Saturday and Sunday. This means the market will also be closed on weekends this month, as well as an additional holiday. Therefore, before trading it is important to know when the stock market will be closed in November. There are five Saturdays and five Sundays in November this year. Apart from this, the stock market will remain closed on the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji i.e. 5th November. That means there will be a total of 11 trading days this month.

There will be no trading in the market these days
The stock market will remain closed on: 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 November (all Saturdays and Sundays), and 5 November, which is a public holiday. On these days, all segments including equity, derivatives, currency and EGR will remain closed on BSE. Only the commodity market will be open for the evening session, i.e. trading will remain closed from 9 am to 5 pm, but functioning will continue from 5 pm till around 11:30 or 11:55 pm. On NSE, all segments related to equities, derivatives, bonds, mutual funds and currencies will remain closed, while evening trading will continue in the commodity segment. This means that if you trade the commodities market, you can operate in the evenings when other markets are closed.

Where to view holiday information? The list of stock market holidays is already available on the websites of BSE and NSE, which you can view anytime. After November, there is only one public holiday in December: December 25, Christmas. The stock market will remain closed on that day also. However, markets will remain closed as usual on Saturday and Sunday. It is noteworthy that the market had closed with weakness on the last trading day of October. Sensex fell 465 points to 83,938 and Nifty fell 155 points to 25,722.
