Now goods delivery will be high-tech! Packages will be delivered through robots and drones, facility started in this city

With the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a major technological experiment has begun in India’s delivery sector. Gurugram, adjacent to the national capital Delhi, is commercially running the world’s first public automated physical AI delivery network, which uses drones and robots to deliver goods directly to customers’ homes without any human intervention.

Under this system, drones named “Sky Ships” fly from the Sky Port and deliver packages to the designated place. The drones drop the packages into a secure smart box called an “arrival point.” Automated robots, or Autobots, then deliver the goods to the customer’s door. The entire process is controlled by an AI system, making delivery faster, more accurate and more secure. Sky Air Mobility and Arrive AI play a key role in this initiative. According to Ankit Kumar, their local delivery port, “Sky Port” has been integrated with an AI system, making the operations completely automated.

Demonstration at AI Summit

Dan O’Toole says the “arrival point” acts as a bridge between the air and the ground, allowing easy transfer of goods between the drone and the robot. Four modern AI Sky Ports are currently operational in Sector 102 of Gurugram. According to Autonomy CEO Ritukar Vijay, these Autobots can maneuver easily. This technology was also demonstrated at the recently held AI Impact Summit 2026. Experts believe that if this model is successful, robot and drone-based delivery could become common in other cities across the country.

Robots that work like humans

A few days ago, Elon Musk, one of the richest people in the world, shared a video on social media, which showed a glimpse of future technology. His company Tesla is working on developing humanoid robots that can perform many daily tasks like humans.

The company’s Optimus Gen 2 bipedal robot has emerged in this direction. It can easily do tasks like folding clothes and serving food. In this era of constantly changing technology, it is certain that one day robots will be seen in common places and will replace humans in daily tasks.
