New Delhi. The price of the rupee has been further reduced against the US dollar. The price of the rupee fell 48 paise against the dollar on Tuesday. The price of the rupee has come down to 88.76 at the lowest level so far. It is believed that US President Donald Trump has had an impact on the Rs 1 lakh fee on H1B visa. IT companies are expected to have difficulty in keeping Indian employees by levying a fee of $ 1 million on H1B visa. It has also affected his stock. For this reason, the rupee is being said to be shocked against the dollar.
The rupee per dollar in the foreign currency exchange market was opened on Tuesday at 88.41. After this, it started declining further. By noon, the rupee reached 88.76 against the dollar. Earlier on Monday, the price of the rupee closed at 88.28 against the dollar on Monday. In this way, the rupee fell 48 paise the next day against the closed price. It is believed that the problem of fees on H1B visa is expected to affect the rupee. If there is a decrease in sending money to India due to increase in visa fees and India’s service sector exports declined, then it could also affect the rupee. Also, India’s trade agreement has not been reached with the US and has also been imposed in the case of purchasing crude oil from Russia.
Donald Trump has taken continuous steps against India since May 2025. First he imposed 25 percent tariff on India due to lack of trade agreement. Then, by buying crude oil and weapons from Russia, he increased the same tariff by accusing him of helping the war against Ukraine. The Trump’s government then warned to ban countries using Chabahar Port in Iran. India has spent a lot of money in developing Chabahar Port. Trump then announced a fee of $ 1 million for taking the H1B visa. Let us know that 71 percent of the H1B visas to be released every year get to Indian professionals. China is second among those taking H1B visas. Most of the H1B visas get to IT professionals.
