Instead of falling victim to predatory lenders, you can get a loan up to ₹6 lakh from the government at just 6% interest rate. Additionally, subsidy up to ₹ 50,000 is also available.
Haryana Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation provides loans at low interest rates to Scheduled Caste and BPL (Below Poverty Line) families under the ‘PM Ajay’ scheme of the Central Government. Apart from loan, subsidy is also given. Central Government’s ‘Pradhanmantri Abhyudaya Yojana’ has been implemented in Haryana. Under this scheme any person can get a loan up to Rs 6 lakh. Additionally, a subsidy of ₹50,000 is provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
**Eligibility for ₹6 lakh loan**
This scheme has been designed for Scheduled Caste and BPL families. Families whose annual income is less than ₹3 lakh (i.e. up to ₹25,000 per month) are eligible to apply. These families can avail loans ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹6 lakh at 6% interest rate. Under this scheme, loans can be obtained for 20 different types of activities. When will the applications start?
The plan has not been finalized yet. It is still awaiting final approval from the state government. The administration believes that this will increase employment opportunities in both urban and rural areas. After the scheme is approved, a decision will be taken regarding the application and beneficiary selection process.
