Strong recovery was seen in the domestic stock market today for the second consecutive day. On Wednesday, BSE Sensex closed at 75,273.45 with a gain of 1,205.00 points (1.63 percent). At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 index also closed at 23,306.45 today with a gain of 394.05 points (1.72 percent). It is worth noting that on Tuesday also the markets had closed with a huge gain. Yesterday, Sensex closed at 74,068.45 with a gain of 1,372.06 points (1.89 per cent), while Nifty closed at 22,957.80 with a gain of 399.75 points (1.78 per cent). In contrast, a huge fall of about 2.50 percent was recorded in the market on Monday.

On Wednesday, out of 30 companies included in Sensex, shares of 26 companies closed in the green mark (up), while shares of 4 companies closed in the red mark (down). Similarly, out of 50 companies included in Nifty 50, shares of 46 companies closed in the green, while shares of the remaining 4 companies closed in the red. Among the companies included in Sensex, UltraTech Cement’s shares registered the biggest gain today, rising 4.39 percent, while Tech Mahindra’s shares saw the biggest decline, falling 1.87 percent.
