The terrible war going on in the Middle East had a deep impact on the Indian stock market on Monday. On the first day of the week, BSE Sensex fell 1,048.34 points (1.29%) to close at 80,238.85. The NSE Nifty 50 index also fell 312.95 points (1.24%) to close at 24,865.70. Following the Israeli and US attacks, Iran has launched deadly attacks across the Middle East. On Monday, Iran carried out an alleged drone attack on the Ras Tanura refinery of Saudi Arabia’s state oil company Saudi Aramco.
Shares of 27 out of 30 Sensex companies closed with losses.
On Monday, out of 30 Sensex companies, only three closed on the green mark with gains, while the remaining 27 closed on the red mark with losses. Similarly, in the Nifty 50, only 8 out of 50 companies closed in the green with gains, while the remaining 42 closed in the red with losses. Among Sensex companies, BEL shares closed the most with a gain of 2.20 per cent, while IndiGo shares closed the most with a fall of 5.87 per cent.

Among other Sensex stocks, Sun Pharma closed 0.82 per cent higher and ITC shares closed 0.38 per cent higher on Monday.
On the other hand, shares of L&T 5.00 percent, Adani Ports 3.42 percent, Maruti Suzuki 3.29 percent, Asian Paints 2.89 percent, Bajaj Finserv 2.85 percent, Reliance Industries 2.58 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.92 percent, Bajaj Finance 1.87 percent, HCL Tech 1.40 percent, Eternal 1.38 percent. percent, Trent 1.38 percent, Titan 1.36 percent, UltraTech Cement 1.30 percent, Power Grid 1.17 percent, NTPC 1.15 percent, SBI 1.05 percent, Axis Bank 0.92 percent, Infosys 0.91 percent, TCS 0.88 percent, Tech Mahindra 0.79 percent, Hindustan Unilever 0.69 percent, Tata Steel It closed down by 0.68 per cent, HDFC Bank by 0.64 per cent, Kotak Mahindra Bank by 0.55 per cent, ICICI Bank by 0.35 per cent and Bharti Airtel by 0.34 per cent.
