After the peace agreement between America and Iran, the global market is witnessing a boom. Considering this trend, today the local stock market closed with gains for the third consecutive day. On this second day of the week, substantial gains were registered in the shares of IT companies.
**Market closed with a gain of 1% on Monday**
On Tuesday, the BSE Sensex closed 544.15 points (0.71%) higher at 76,808.48, while the NSE Nifty 50 index closed 135.25 points (0.57%) higher at 23,989.15. It is noteworthy that on Monday also the market had closed with a gain of about 1%. Before that, last Friday the market had closed with a gain of more than 2%.
**Jump in HCL Tech shares**
Today, shares of 21 out of 30 Sensex companies closed with gains, while shares of the remaining 9 companies closed with decline. Similarly, shares of 30 out of 50 Nifty companies closed with gains, while shares of the remaining 20 companies closed with decline. Among the companies included in the Sensex, shares of IT company HCL Tech registered the highest gain of 3.59%. In contrast, shares of airline company Indigo saw the biggest decline of 0.86%.
