Today a tremendous rise was seen in the stock market. The market closed higher for the second consecutive day on Monday. BSE Sensex closed 638.12 points (0.75%) higher at 85,567.48. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 index jumped 206.00 points (0.79 percent) and closed at 26,172.40. It is noteworthy that IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation) was included in the BSE’s 30-share benchmark index, Sensex, while Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles was removed. Last week, BSE Sensex closed 338.3 points (0.39 per cent) lower and Nifty fell 80.55 points (0.30 per cent).
Shares of 24 Sensex companies closed in the green.
On Monday, 25 out of 30 Sensex companies closed with gains, while Bajaj Finance shares closed without any change. Shares of remaining 4 companies closed with a decline. Similarly, 38 out of 50 Nifty 50 companies closed with gains, while shares of the remaining 12 companies closed with losses. Among Sensex companies, Tata Group company Trent saw the biggest rise of 3.56 per cent, while State Bank of India shares saw the biggest fall of 0.59 per cent.

Apart from these, other Sensex stocks which closed higher included Infosys (3.06%), Bharti Airtel (2.32%), Tech Mahindra (1.74%), BEL (1.57%), Sun Pharma (1.43%), HCL Tech (1.35%), Maruti Suzuki (1.32%), TCS (1.28%), ICICI Bank (1.05%), Adani Ports (0.74%), Reliance Industries. (0.66%), Power Grid (0.55%), Mahindra & Mahindra (0.40%), Tata Steel (0.39%), Bajaj Finserv (0.39%), Eicher Motors (0.38%), UltraTech Cement (0.36%), ITC (0.36%), NTPC (0.28%), Axis Bank (0.21%), Hindustan Unilever (0.17%), HDFC Bank (0.15%), Asian Paints (0.09%), and Titan (0.05%). On the other hand, shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank (0.37%), L&T (0.09%), and IndiGo (0.06%) closed lower on Monday.
