Sun Pharma, India’s largest pharmaceutical company, is going to buy Organon—a large US company (headquartered in New Jersey)—for ₹1.10 lakh crore. This is the largest foreign purchase ever by any Indian pharmaceutical company. On Monday, both companies issued a joint statement about the deal. Under the terms of the agreement, Sun Pharma will purchase all outstanding shares of Organon at a price of $14 per share. This entire deal will be done in cash.
