The market mood has turned sour again. Nifty closed 88 points down at 25,509 yesterday and fell below the important support level of 25,500 intraday. SGX Nifty is down 100 points, indicating a decline in the last trading session of the week. There was sluggishness in the American market also yesterday. Heavy selling was recorded in AI stocks, leading to a 400-point decline in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIAO). The tech index, the Nasdaq, fell nearly two percent. Technically, the support level of Nifty has come in the range of 25,300.
Talking about other factors affecting the market, selling by foreign investors continues. In the cash market, FIIs made huge sales of ₹3,263 crore yesterday. There was a combined net selling of ₹4,021 crore in cash, shares and index futures. Meanwhile, DIIs made big purchases worth ₹5,283 crore. The dollar index has once again crossed 100 and is at its highest level in six months, which will further weaken the market sentiment.
