New York: A US court has allowed hearing on the petition of industrialist Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani, in which they have appealed to dismiss the fraud case of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Adani Group’s lawyers have argued that this matter is outside US jurisdiction and their clients have nothing to do with it directly. According to a court order dated April 7, a US District Court in New York has accepted the petition of Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani for preliminary hearing. He is trying to get the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to dismiss a civil fraud case related to an alleged bribery conspiracy.Judge Nicholas G. In this order issued by Garaufis, his appeal for a ‘pre-motion conference’ (discussion before hearing) on the proposed application to dismiss the case has been approved. Adani’s legal team had already indicated that it would appeal to the court to dismiss the case by April 30.
