Year Ender 2025: The year 2025 was lucky for the billionaires, there was immense increase in the wealth of everyone from Ambani-Adani to Birla.

Today is the last day of 2025, marking the end of a year and the beginning of a new journey. Looking back, this year not only saw a record-breaking increase in the prices of gold and silver, but the country’s billionaires also made unprecedented earnings. However, the net worth of some other people also saw a decline during this period.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani earned the most money this year. Reliance Industries’ net worth will increase by $16.5 billion in 2025 due to the strong performance of its shares. Shares of Reliance Industries, India’s largest listed company by market value, rose nearly 30 percent, which is the best performance of the company’s shares since 2020.

Who are in second and third place?
Right behind Ambani is Lakshmi Mittal, CEO and Chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel producing company. His net worth increased by approximately $12 billion in 2025, bringing his net worth to approximately $31 billion. Mittal is currently the 70th richest person in the world. The rise in his net worth came as the global steel market improved and investor interest returned to major metal producers.

He is followed by Sunil Mittal, founder of Bharti Enterprises. His net worth increased by nearly $6 billion, reaching $29 billion in 2025. Shares of Bharti Airtel rose by about 31 percent in a year. In the second quarter of the 2025 financial year, his telecom company’s consolidated net profit increased by 89 per cent to ₹6,792 crore.

These businessmen including Gautam Adani also benefited
Gautam Adani also benefited during this period. With an increase of approximately $5.9 billion, his net worth increased to approximately $84 billion. Adani remains the second richest Indian after Mukesh Ambani. Apart from these, Kumar Mangalam Birla’s wealth increased by approximately $4 billion in 2025, taking his total net worth to approximately $22 billion.

Uday Kotak is also not behind in terms of net worth. He added more than $2 billion to his wealth in 2025, increasing his net worth to nearly $16 billion. With this he has become one of the top 10 richest Indians. Those whose wealth increased significantly in 2025 include automobile giant Eicher Motors founder Vikram Lal, Wadia Group’s Nusli Wadia, IndiGo co-founder Rahul Bhatia and Torrent Group chairman Sameer Mehta.
