10th Board Exam 2026: There is big news for lakhs of 10th class students of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced the dates for Matric Board Exam 2026.
According to JACK, the 10th board exam will be conducted from 3 February 2026 to 17 February 2026. This time the method of examination has been kept a little different from before, due to which it has become necessary for the students to prepare in advance.
What will be the new method of examination?
This year Jack will take the 10th exam through question-cum-answer booklet. That means students will not be given separate OMR sheets.
Answers to multiple choice questions (MCQ) will also have to be written in the same answer book. Therefore, students will have to develop the habit of writing answers clearly and correctly from now on.
Exam Timings and Pattern
*Exam Timings: 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM
* You will get additional time of 15 minutes to read the question paper
* The entire examination will be in a single question-cum-answer booklet

Jack has also clarified the pattern of the numbers:
* 30% marks – multiple choice questions
* 50% marks – short and long answer questions
* 20% marks – Internal assessment
It is clear from this that both the written answer and the internal assessment of the school will be very important.
Practical and Viva date
Practical and Viva examinations will be conducted between 24th February to 7th March 2026.
School Principal will download the admit card from the official website of JAC. Students are advised to collect the admit card on time and check all the information given in it carefully.
