An important link has come to light from Bihar in the Maharashtra TET paper leak case. Bijendra Kumar Gupta, resident of Samastipur, Bihar, is the mastermind of this TET paper leak. Gupta has already been an accused in other paper leak cases. Bhiwandi Police has arrested three people in this TET paper leak case.
Teams of ten policemen have been sent to arrest Kapil Dahiya and Bijendra Kumar Gupta. Important revelations are expected after the arrest of mastermind Bijendra Kumar Gupta. Five accused have been named in the police FIR: Rajeev Shri Prayag Shaw, Akash Kumar Swaraj Kumar, Dheeraj Balraj Singh, Kapil Dahiya (absconding) and Bijendra Kumar Gupta (alias Baleshwar Kumar Sah).

Senior officials of Bhiwandi Police said that Bijendra Kumar Gupta, resident of Samastipur, Bihar, is an absconding accused in the Maharashtra TET paper leak case. This is the same person against whom cases are registered on charges of paper leak in many states of the country. However, it is not clear whether he is the mastermind behind *this particular* paper leak or not; Police investigation is going on. In July 2023, two cases related to paper leak were registered against the accused in Odisha. Apart from this, Gupta is also wanted in several other cases.
The accused often use different names in different places. At present, Bhiwandi Police teams are investigating in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi. Police have revealed that absconding accused Kapil and arrested accused Dheeraj were present in Thane city before going to Pune.
**Important information about the case**
For the last 25 years, the Maharashtra State Examination Council has been outsourcing the printing of question papers for such examinations to ‘Mahim Patram Private Limited’, a company based in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Four different sets of question papers are printed; Immediately after printing, they are taken to different centers, completing the paper distribution process. For example, this time after printing the papers were sent to Washim, Jalna and Latur in Maharashtra; However, it is not clear where the leak originated from.
NSUI’s protest in front of Minister Dada Bhuse
Members of Maharashtra Congress Party’s student wing – National Students Union of India (NSUI) – protested in front of state Education Minister Dada Bhuse over the TET paper leak issue. They demanded the resignation of the minister and were later detained by the police.
