CBSE Board 10th, 12th Board Exam 2025, only two days left in the last date for submission of LOC

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the process of submitting the list of candidates (LoC) for class 10th and 12th board examinations of academic session 2025-26. From this time, students of class 10th will get a chance to take the board exam twice a year. The first exam will be held in February 2026, which is mandatory for all students, while the second exam will be for only those students who want to improve their marks or fail in the first exam. CBSE has clarified that the first exam will be considered as the main examination and the names of all the students will appear in this list. Separate LoCs will be filled for the second examination, but will not be allowed to add a new name or change the subject.

These students will get a chance

New admission students, students who appear in the compartment for the second time, will be able to appear in the first examination in the first examination required repeat (ER) and improvement category.

Compulsory for students of 12th also

CBSE has also sought a list of all students of class 12 from schools. However, the exam pattern in 12th will remain the same. The board has clarified that LoC will be deposited only for students who have immense ID of 12 digits (academic permanent account number). This digital identity is necessary for students. Foreign schools have been exempted from this.

A special portal for disabled students

The board has issued a separate portal and guidelines for students with special requirement (CWSN), through which they can upload documents and send requests for concessions.

Fee and time limit

Last date for depositing LoC without late fee – 31 October 2025 late fee – Rs 2000 per student (for both class 10 and 12) for five subjects for five subjects, Rs 1500 additional subject Rs 300 per subject per subject per subject, Rs 150 per subject of Rs 150 per subject of Rs 150 has been given full discount from fees.
