New Delhi. The Central Government told the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that the launch of Chandrayaan-3 is likely to happen in the second quarter of 2022-23. This information was given by the Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question in the Upper House.
He said, “Chandrayaan-3 mission is in the advanced stage of realization. All systems of both Nodon module and Rover module have been received and integrated and tested. Most of the systems of the lander module have been realized and their trials are in progress.
When asked when Chandrayaan-3 would be launched, he said, “The target has been set to launch Chandrayaan-3 in the second quarter of the financial year 2022-2023.” Responding to another question, he said. The integrated sensors on the lander and navigational performance tests have been completed and other tests are in progress, he said. “All the scheduled tests will be completed before the launch of Chandrayaan-3,” he said.
