CID’s Cyber Crime Police Station arrested two accused from Nagpur in Maharashtra in connection with a cyber fraud of Rs 23 lakh from a senior doctor at the Central Lab of the Central Lab of RIMS (Ranchi Institute of Medical Sciences). This action has sent strict message against cyber criminals.

Police said two mobiles and four SIM cards have been recovered from the possession of the accused. Initial investigation revealed that the accused used modern cyber technology for fraud. Police said the accused were brought to Ranchi and sent to judicial custody after producing in court.

According to CID officials, the senior doctor of RIMS was cheated by cyber medium of Rs 23 lakh. In view of the seriousness of the case, the cyber crime police station immediately started investigating the case and the accused was detected up to Nagpur in Maharashtra.
