In the executive meeting of Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA), a resolution for Parliament march was passed on March 31 regarding the issues of teachers. The teachers announced an action plan regarding their issues. Under this, during the meeting of the Teachers’ Academic Council on March 22, there will be a protest outside the gate number one of the Vice Chancellor’s office. Whereas on March 25, 28 and 29, college-wise dharna will be held in three phases. On April 4, the teachers have announced a sit-in against the Delhi government on the issue of College of Arts.
DU Teachers Association President Prof. AK Bhagi says that teachers should be appointed by following all the constitutional provisions of reservation. Apart from the issue of old pension, admission to BFA and MFA courses in the College of Arts for the session 2021-2022 of the College of Art is a major issue. Our demand also includes release of full grant in aid from the next quarter to 12 Delhi funded colleges to pay salaries, arrears and other arrears. We demand that the roster of teaching posts be uploaded on the websites of DU and College. It is also our demand to include the roster points of colleges in this.
