Raipur, On the first day of the new year, two new schemes are being launched in Chhattisgarh. Under the Department of School Education, two new schemes Skill Hub Initiative and Hundred Days of Reading, Mathematical Skill Development will be launched in Mayaram Surjan Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Chaubey Colony, on January 1 at 11 am. School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam will launch both the programs by joining Ambikapur virtually.
According to the information received from the School Education Department, under the Skill Hub Initiative programme, such children in the age group of 15 to 19 who have left out will get a golden opportunity for training in the skill center based on vocational education. Along with skill development, self-employment and employment opportunities will also be available. The period of certification under the scheme will be six months.
Two hours of vocational education will be given to the children after school hours and during recess. This training will be completely free. Similarly, a hundred-day campaign is also being started for the development of reading, writing and mathematical skills to all the children up to class 8th. Under this, 14 weeks of work on language and mathematical skills will be done each week on some focus competencies.
