Ranchi: MLA Jairam Mahato met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday and submitted a demand letter regarding alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC examination. He demanded a CBI inquiry into the examination, postponement of the main examination and an impartial investigation into the entire matter.
Jairam Mahato alleged that the examination result was released without the signatures of the commission members, raising serious questions on the transparency and validity of the examination process. He also claimed that the responsibility of conducting the examination was given to a blacklisted company of Uttar Pradesh, which is a very serious matter.
He said that since the formation of Jharkhand, there have been continuous allegations of irregularities in the examinations of JPSC and JSSC and this time also justice was not done to the candidates. He says that the controversy that started from the first JPSC is now continuing till the 14th examination, due to which the confidence of the youth in the examination system has weakened.
Jairam Mahato warned that if the state government does not act on the demands within two days, a major agitation will be launched from the streets to the House.
At the same time, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has assured to listen to the matter seriously and take appropriate action in the interest of the students.
