In Chhattisgarh, recruitment has been done for 2292 posts of assistant teachers in government schools. Online applications have started from 24th July 2026. Interested candidates will be able to apply till 21 August 2026.

In Chhattisgarh, recruitment has been done for 2292 posts of assistant teachers in government schools. Online applications have started from 24th July 2026. Interested candidates will be able to apply till 21 August 2026. Applications will be made only through online mode and payment of examination fee will also have to be done digitally. The recruitment examination is proposed to be conducted on 11 October 2026. Examination centers will be set up in 16 districts of the state for the examination. The official notification is available on the official website of CGESB and Vyapam portal vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in. Online application can be made by visiting vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in.

Under this direct recruitment, a total of 2292 posts will be recruited, which includes 795 posts of E-Cadre and 1497 posts of T-Cadre.

pay scale

This post is of non-gazetted third class, whose pay matrix has been fixed at level-06.

district wise post

Maximum posts are in Jashpur (150 posts), Bastar (125 posts), Raigarh (120 posts) and Bijapur (105 posts). The least number of posts are for the districts of Dantewada (50 posts), Surajpur (50 posts), Mahasamund (65 posts) and Balod (70 posts).

Eligibility conditions

Native: To participate in the recruitment process, it is mandatory for the candidate to be a local resident of Chhattisgarh.

Age Limit: The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and maximum 35 years as on January 1, 2026. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) will be given maximum relaxation of 5 years and female candidates will be given maximum 10 years relaxation. Disabled people and government servants will also get relaxation as per rules, but in any case the maximum age should not exceed 45 years.

Educational qualification:

Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (12th) examination with minimum 45% or 50% marks.

Along with this, two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / D.Ed), or four-year B.El.Ed. (B.El.Ed), or Graduation with two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

It is mandatory for the candidate to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted for primary level.

Exam Pattern –

The question paper of the examination will be of total 100 marks, in which questions will be asked from the following subjects:

Hindi: 15 marks

English: 10 marks

Mathematics: 15 marks

Environmental Studies: 10 marks

Child Development and Pedagogy: 15 marks

General Mental Ability: 15 Marks

General Knowledge: 15 marks

Computer Education: 05 Marks
