Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released important information regarding JEE Advanced 2026 exam and registration. This year, the exam will be held on May 17, 2026. Indian candidates will be able to apply online from April 23 to May 2, while the registration process for foreign candidates will start from April 6, 2026. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website jeeadv.ac.in.
What are the eligibility requirements?
To appear for JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must qualify JEE Main 2026 Paper 1, and only the top 2.5 lakh candidates will be eligible. The candidate must have appeared for his/her first 12th class examination in 2025 or 2026. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in class 12th. Additionally, candidates can appear for the JEE Advanced exam only twice, and these attempts must be made in two consecutive years. Candidates who have already taken admission in any IIT will not be eligible for this exam.
What will be the application fee?
The application fee for JEE Advanced 2026 varies by category. The application fee for Indian female candidates and SC, ST, and PwD candidates is ₹1,600. General and OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay ₹ 3,200. Separate fees have also been fixed for foreign candidates, the fee for candidates from SAARC countries has been fixed at US$100 and for candidates from other countries the fee has been fixed at US$200.
When will the admit card be released? The admit card for JEE Advanced 2026 will be released on May 11, 2026, on the official website. Candidates will be able to download their admit card from May 11 to May 17, 2026.
The exam will be held in two shifts on May 17, 2026.
First Paper: 9 am to 12 noon
Second Paper: 2:30 pm to 5:50 pm
To be included in the merit list, the candidate will have to appear for both the papers.

Then log in with your JEE Main 2026 application number and password.
After logging in, candidates should fill the required information.
Select maximum eight options for exam city.
Select the language of the question between Hindi and English.
After this, the candidate should upload the required documents.
Pay the application fee.
After submitting the application form, download and save the confirmation page.
