There is good news for lakhs of candidates appearing in the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. The wait for results may end soon. Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission is working rapidly to verify the answer sheets and complete other necessary processes. According to the commission’s plan, if all the work is completed on time, the results can be declared by the last week of July. Also, the objections raised on the answer keys are also being reviewed to ensure that the results are declared with complete transparency.
According to reports, the verification of OMR sheets of more than 17 lakh candidates who appeared in the examination is going on in full swing. The Commission’s office in Prayagraj has set a target to complete the investigation by July 20. After this, the process of preparing the final result will begin. If all the steps are completed on time, the results are likely to be declared in the last week of July.
**Review of objections on answer key**
After the release of the provisional answer key, many candidates had raised objections to the answers to some questions. Most of the objections were related to questions from the mathematics section at the upper primary level. Apart from this, candidates have sought improvement in some questions of Hindi and Sanskrit. The candidates have also submitted evidence, including NCERT books, to the Commission in support of their claims. A team of subject experts is examining these objections, and changes will be made in the final answer key wherever necessary.

To avoid unnecessary delay in the results, the Commission is simultaneously carrying out the work of scrutiny of OMR and resolution of objections. Officials say that the entire process will be done in a transparent manner. Candidates are advised not to rely on rumors spreading on social media and only consider the information given on the official website as correct. If all the processes are completed on time, the long wait of lakhs of candidates may end by the end of July.
