Every year thousands of Indian students dream of studying abroad and apply for scholarships. Hundreds of Indian students are currently studying in universities in countries ranging from America and China to London and Russia. However, the high cost of living abroad and expensive tuition fees make it difficult for many people, leaving their dream of studying in a foreign university unfulfilled. Now, this dream can come true as many foreign universities are coming to India. These universities will open their campuses in major cities of India, providing students with world-class education at a more affordable price.

UGC gave green signal

The Government of India is continuously working towards globalization of higher education. According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), many renowned foreign universities have been allowed to open their campuses in India, provided they have received the necessary approvals. With growing global confidence in India’s regulatory framework, nine UK universities are set to set up their campuses in India. Preparations have been completed, and classes can start in the next few years.

These big universities are preparing to come to India

Apart from UK, universities from other countries are also preparing to come to India. These foreign universities are opening their centers in India to cater to the large number of students and their educational needs. Big names like University of New South Wales, University of Liverpool and University of York are preparing to establish their presence in India. It has been told that their campuses can open in Bengaluru and Mumbai.

Foreign degrees will be available in India

The biggest relief for millions of Indian students is that now they can get a foreign degree while staying in their own country, so that they can apply for better jobs. Additionally, a major advantage is that the fees for these universities in India will be comparatively lower, and students will also save on other expenses associated with studying abroad.
