Two Indian student groups from Punjab and Tamil Nadu won a competition titled ‘NASA 2022 Human Exploration Rover Challenge’.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced this in an online awards ceremony on April 29. 91 teams from 58 colleges and 33 high schools participated in the competition.
This time a group of American and international students were asked to design a manned rover that could reach the rocky bodies found in the Solar System.
According to the information, the students of Decent Children Model Presidency School, Punjab won the ‘STEM Engagement Award in High School Division’. The team from Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu was declared the winner of the Social Media Awards in the College/University category.
This competition is organized by NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement. It aims to encourage students to pursue degrees and careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
