UGC NET 2025 result declared, check your score and cut-off details by visiting this website

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results of UGC NET December 2025. This exam is very important for those candidates who want to work as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Assistant Professor, or who want to take admission in PhD program. Candidates can now check their result on the official website. UGC NET is a national level examination conducted for academicians and researchers in India.

The main objective of this examination is to ensure that eligible and competent candidates are selected as teachers or researchers in higher education. The December 2025 exam was conducted for 85 subjects in computer-based mode over six days. The examination was conducted in 11 shifts at 663 examination centers in 283 cities across the country between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026.

2. Click on UGC NET December 2025 Result link.

3. Enter your application number and date of birth to view your scorecard.

4. Download your result and save it for future.

Cut-off for JRF and Assistant Professor:

The highest cut-off marks for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) was 248 marks in the unreserved category. This was followed by 244 marks in Buddhist and Jain studies and 240 marks in French. 5,141 candidates qualified for JRF, 59,821 for Assistant Professor and 117,058 for PhD admission. NTA also ensured that the evaluation of the examination is transparent and fair. Under this process, the candidates’ question papers, final answer keys and their answers were made available on the NTA website from January 14 to January 17, 2026.

Further process for JRF and Assistant Professor

Candidates who have qualified for both JRF and Assistant Professor posts will be issued eligibility certificates and JRF award letters through the NTA portal. These certificates will be very useful in the future academic or research activities of the candidates.
