Cocktail 2 Movie Review: Same old flavor of love, friendship and modern relationships or something new? Know the story and starcast of the film!
Whenever there is talk of modern love stories and complicated relationships of friendship in Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty’s 2012 superhit film ‘Cocktail’ definitely comes to mind.
Now the makers have brought its second part i.e. ‘Cocktail 2’, which is completely based on the youth of today, their lifestyle, the confusion between love and friendship in the era of dating apps. This film is completely a romantic-comedy drama (Rom-Com), which makes you laugh a lot in the first half, gives strong songs and in the second half, tries to show the maturity of relationships with some emotional drama.
If we talk about the story of the film, it once again revolves around an interesting love triangle, which involves two best friends and a boy. The main hero in the story is a carefree, flirtatious and fun-loving Delhi boy, who does not like to be serious in life. He meets a very bold, modern and cool girl who lives life on her own terms. A casual relationship begins between the two without any commitment, but the twist in the story comes when the bold girl’s friend from a very simple, cultured and domestic background enters.
The hero unconsciously starts getting attracted towards the simple girl’s simplicity and her caring nature, while the bold girl starts feeling serious emotions for him for the first time. From here begins the series of love, friendship, sacrifice and misunderstandings, which completely changes the lives of all three.
The film’s star cast and their acting have brought life to this seemingly simple story. A famous chocolate hero of this era has been cast as the lead actor in the film, who has entertained the audience a lot with his comic timing and flirting style. At the same time, the lead actress in the role of a bold and cool girl has captivated the entire audience with her strong screen presence and excellent dialogue delivery; His style and acting in emotional scenes are praiseworthy. On the other hand, the new actress has won the hearts of the audience with her innocence in the role of a simple girl. The chemistry between the three actors looks quite natural and fresh on screen, which keeps the audience engaged till the end.
Overall, ‘Cocktail 2’ is a light-hearted and entertaining film, which you can enjoy with your friends on the weekend. Although the basic story of the film largely gives the same vibe as the first part and becomes predictable at some places, but due to its spectacular locations, excellent star cast acting and strong music album, this film does not bore. If you want to see the drama of today’s relationships, breakups, patchups and friendship in a new and shining style, then this film can give you a good timepass experience.
