Guwahati. The SIT of Assam Police has arrested his cousin Sandian Garg in the case of death in the suspicious situation of singer Zubeen Garg. Zubeen’s cousin Sandeipan is the DSP in Assam Police. Sandipan was arrested on Wednesday morning on the charge that when Zubeen Garg died, he was on the spot. Sandipan Garg was questioned by SIT officials of Assam Police earlier in the case of Zubeen Garg’s death. Zubeen, who was swimming during the party at a yacht in Singapore, died on 19 September 2025. Singer’s manager Siddharth Sharma, Shyamakanu Mahant, who had already conducted North-East India Festival in Singapore, two members of his band Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and singer Amritprabha Mahant have been arrested in the case of Zubeen Garg’s death. Now the number of people arrested in the case of Zubeen Garg’s death due to Sandipan Garg’s arrest has increased to five. The special thing is that before being arrested, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami claimed that Zubeen Garg was poisoned by Siddharth Sharma and Shyamakanu Mahant.
