In the International Indian Film Academy Award (IIFA) Digital Award 2025, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ and the third season of the web series ‘Panchayat’ won several awards.
The 25th edition of IIFA being held in Jaipur this year began on Saturday.
In the evening adorned with the stars, Nora Fatehi, Sachin-Jigar, Shreya Ghoshal and Micah Singh made a great performance. This evening was hosted by Aparshakti Khurana, Vijay Verma and Abhishek Banerjee.
Netflix’s film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, based on a biography of Punjabi singer, won the title of Best Film, while Ali received the Best Director Award. The film starred Diljit Dosanjh.
In the acting categories, Kriti Sanon won the best performance award in the lead role (women) for ‘Do Patti’ and also won the Best Story (Original) Award for Kanika Dhillon for the same film.
Actor Vikrant Massey was declared the winner of the best performance in the lead role (men) for the Netflix film Sector 36, while his co-star Deepak Dobriyal won the Best Supporting Actor Award.
Anupriya Goenka received the Best Supporting Actress Award for her performance in ‘Berlin’ (G5).
Talking about the web series, the ‘Panchayat’ (Prime Video) season was the three biggest winner, who won the best series award.
Chief actor Jitendra Kumar won the best performance title in the lead role (men), while Deepak Kumar Mishra got the trophy for the best direction.
Faisal Malik, who played the role of Prahlad Cha, the favorite character of the audience in ‘Panchayat’, received the award in the Best Supporting Role (Men) category.
‘Bandish Bandits’ star Shreya Chaudhary won the best performance in the lead role (women) for the second season of the ‘Prime Video’ series.
Actress Sanjida Sheikh was honored for the best performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first OTT series ‘Hiramandi’ on Netflix for her performance (women).
The best story (original) award in the series category received the “Kota Factory” season three of Streamer, in which Jitendra also acted.
In the ‘non-scripted’ category, Netflix’s ‘Fabulus Lives Verses Bollywood Wives’ won the Best ‘Reality’ Award, while the documentary ‘Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous’ won the Best ‘Documents’ award.
Music composer Anurag Saikia received the award in the best main song category for ‘Ishq Hai’ of ‘Mismacched’ season 3 (Netflix).
The event also attended Bollywood’s Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit, Bobby Deol, Prateek Gandhi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Nimrit Kaur, Karishma Tanna, Nusrat Bharucha and Ravi Kishan.
