Kishore Kumar and actress Leena Chandavarkar wanted to marry each other. But Leena’s parents were strictly against it. Because Kishore Kumar was 27 years older than Leena. Leena’s parents said that they could get Leena married to Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar. But marriage with Kishore Kumar is not accepted at any cost.
But love waits for whose permission. Despite all opposition, Kishore and Leena got married. Leena’s parents became angry due to this. He made up his mind to leave the city. Because they knew that after this marriage they would have to face taunts from the society, family and neighbourhood.
When Kishore Kumar came to know about this, he asked Leena to go to his parents. When the teenagers reached Leena’s parents, they started singing loudly outside the house. The lyrics of the song were “Let me fill the chests of haters with love, I am that bird and can turn stones into wax”.
Leena’s parents were softened by this gesture of Kishore Kumar. He then accepted the relationship between Kishore Kumar and Leena.
