The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has selected actor Mohanlal for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023. He is being awarded the award for his specific contribution as an actor, director and producer in Indian cinema. The award will be presented to Mohanlal at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony on 23 September. Apart from Malayalam, Mohanlal has also worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bollywood films.
