Lack of competition, benefited from controversy
‘The Kerala Story’ has made huge money in almost all the mass circuits of the country. It is still in a very good position especially in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and Gujarat. While the film is doing better than expected in Andhra Pradesh/Nizam and Mysore circuits as well. There are a couple more things to note here. ‘The Kerala Story’ has benefited greatly from controversy. While all the other films that have come at the box office since its release have either proved to be flops or have become disasters. In such a situation, the absence of competition has also been beneficial for ‘The Kerala Story’. Even ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’ and ‘Azam’, which released on Friday, 26 May, have also proved to be a disaster.
